PK May 4-8

Hello PK friends!

Mother's Day is coming up. Here is a fun song to sing with your moms.

Let's Move with Jack Hartman today!

Now lets end our music with some listening! It's Musical May, so let's watch a short clip from one of my favorite musicals Mary Poppins. Sit back and enjoy it with your mommy!

Can you say that big word Mary Poppins sang today? I'd love to see a video of you saying it. Share it on your class page!

Mrs. Carroll

May 4-8 Music

Hello boys and girls! It's May which means it's time for Musical May. This week I will begin sharing clips from some Broadway Musicals.

K-1 students: you have a Music Styles lesson in your Quaver accounts. You will get to read Quaver books and listen to songs from the following styles: showtunes, country, and folk. You may even see an introduction video by Mrs. Carroll. :)
I think you will enjoy this lesson!
It features:
  1. Mary Poppins(can you say that BIG word she sings?)
  2. a few Quaver country songs- one by Dolly Parton
  3. a song by John Denver (I know you will love this one!)
  4. 3 Quaver books to read with your parents: the basic book has a quiz at the end, feel free to try the advanced book. See if you can find sight words in the books!
  5. A Family Night Quiz: tell me your favorite style from this lesson and if your family enjoyed the lesson!
PK- I will post a separate lesson for you!
